The older children

August 12, 2009

The majority of the writing I have done is about the children, however. several people have been asking me about how the rest of the team is shaping up as it relates to the other Adults.

My Team Leaders are Steven and Tiffany Hailston (who’s blog is on the right hand side of my page if you wanted to follow along to them) They are on their fourth or fifth tour with Children of the World (COTW) which is a blessing, because they have so much experience and insight to offer to make my life and my job a little easier. Steve and Tiffany have been with World Help since the beginning of their touring team ministry, back when it was comprised of only adults and called Mission. Needless to say they have a handle on things…The team leaders are responsible for all of the accounting on the road as well as keeping up focused and going on the right track, obviously experience is important.

We have two chaperons both of them from the Philippines, their names are Shiloh, and Ailene (pronounced Eileen), they are pretty cool, and they spend the most time with the children so they definitely have my full and total respect for that.

The other sound man that is traveling with the team is named Kory; Kory left on Tuesday of last week to go home to take care of some things and see some doctors and what not so he will be in optimum shape to hit the road with us… I am pleased to find out that Kory will rejoin the team today, I’m pretty excited…

This is a busy, busy week for us. The children are getting into some of the more intense rehearsals, they pretty much have all of the lyrics down, now we are getting into the fine tuning of choreography, and working on pitch and drumming, and such things as those. Tonight (Wednesday) weather permitting we are going to go swimming at Liberty University, tomorrow night we have our first of two photo-shoots, Friday we have another luncheon at World Help’s offices (this time its a potluck, mmm Potluck FTW), and then following the luncheon we have our second photoshoot, and hopefully our last…  Saturday night we are going to see the Lynchburg Hillcats game ( Single A Affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates); it will be nice for the children to see a baseball game, and the fireworks that follow I think they’ll enjoy that. For me, it will be nice to see people that are aspiring to play for the Pirates (haha, haha, fail).

Until next time here are a few more photos of the childrens that I have taken.
